A Persian stonepaste bowl of conical form, attributed to the Ilkhanid period, 13th-14th century. The vessel is decorated in cobalt blue and dark underglaze painting with stylized figural and scrolling motifs, characteristic of medieval Persian ceramic traditions.

The exposed cream-colored body is consistent with fritware construction, while the surviving glaze displays extensive iridescent weathering, surface degradation and age-related alteration. Attribution and dating are based on form, material, decoration and visible surface characteristics; the piece has not been scientifically tested for age.

Property from an important private collection, assembled by a dealer and collector over more than six decades.
Condition
Extensive glaze loss and surface wear, heavy iridescence and weathering, scattered chips and losses to the rim, and visible cracking. Please refer to photographs.
