A finely fashioned Sino-Tibetan snuff bottle, the faceted translucent ruby-red body mounted with elaborate chased and pierced gilt-silver fittings, set with turquoise-colored and red cabochons, the domed stopper surmounted by a twisted finial. The ornate metalwork and jeweled decoration reflect the luxurious Tibetan-market tradition of the Qing period.

Property from an important private collection, assembled by a dealer and collector over more than six decades.
Condition
Age-related wear, oxidation and losses to gilding; scattered losses and wear to mounts and inset decoration. Old handwritten collection label to underside. Please refer to photographs.
