A hand-knotted Turkmen wool chuval bag face attributed to the Chodor tribe of Central Asia, woven with repeating ertmen gul motifs in deep terracotta red, brown, dark blue and ivory, framed by multiple geometric borders.
The textile represents the decorative face of a traditional nomadic storage bag, with the original backing no longer present.
