Multan Glazed Earthenware Bottle Vase

A 19th-century Multan glazed earthenware bottle vase, of traditional Punjab or Sindh type, with rounded body rising to a tall narrow neck and everted rim. The surface is decorated in turquoise, cobalt blue, black and pale green with repeating floral rosettes, scrolling foliate bands and geometric ornament.
The unglazed base reveals a coarse earthenware body with visible wheel-turning marks. The glaze shows extensive age-related crazing, surface wear and scattered losses. An old inventory label numbered 18769 remains to the underside.

- Property from an important private collection, assembled by a dealer and collector over more than six decades.
- Condition
- Significant age-related wear, glaze loss and flaking, with a major old break and repair to the neck including visible filled areas and stabilized fracture lines. Additional scattered chips, abrasions and surface deposits. Please refer to photographs.
