A Roman provincial bronze votive figure of Mercury/Hermes, likely made for household shrine use. The standing male figure is modeled wearing a stylized cap or hood, with simplified facial features, large eyes, and compact provincial proportions. His left arm carries a draped cloak, with a curved purse-form attribute near the thigh, while the extended right hand likely once held a separately cast caduceus, now lost. The surface shows a deep archaeological patina with green malachite oxidation over reddish-brown cuprite tones.

Property from an important private collection, assembled by a dealer and collector over more than six decades.
Condition
Fragmentary antique condition. Losses to lower legs/feet and missing original attribute from right hand. Surface encrustation, oxidation, verdigris, and wear throughout. Mounted on a later display base.
